What is Love?

Love.  A word that gets thrown around a lot.   I love that.  I love this.  Love for life.  Love for family.  Love of kids.  Love for our pets.  Love movies.  Love things.  Love cars.  Love money.  Love charity. Love humanity. Love travel. Love houses.  Love things. Love the weather.  Love our parents.  Love our culture.  Love that place.  I love my spouse.  I love you. And so on. Today is Thanksgiving 2019.  I…

Anthony Bourdain

Remembering someone whose shows and writing I loved on life, travel, food and people. Seemed to have the greatest job traveling all over the world, meeting people, eating food and sharing stories that he brought into our living rooms yet somehow was not happy enough that he took his own life suddenly a year ago….

Spring 2019 Colorado

In Recovery Mode…

It has been a week since the surgery. And what a pain in the you know what it has been. I mean really. The doctors all claimed” a quick in and out, no big deal” event. Well it was a pretty big deal. Damn near what I went through for the double bypass several years…

Random thoughts on an impending surgery………

It always feels a bit weird leading up to a surgery and hospital stay.  A healthy mix of fear, anxiety, sadness, love, confidence and HOPE. Another one is looming in a couple of days.  This one is a follow up to the one from December.  The two-inch one pound generator with a 10 year battery life they installed…

Bob Seger

Bob Seger Concert, Denver, Colorado – February 17th, 2019 I have been waiting a long time for this show.  Those that know me also know that I love my music and concert scene.  My previous work life connected me to the most amazing concert and music experiences that most people never experience.  With some stroke of luck, I…
